About Me

I am a graduate of Northwestern University (Bachelor of Science) and National-Louis University (Master of Science). My treatment approach is psychodynamic, meaning I draw from a variety of theoretical perspectives when treating clients.  My work is influenced by Dr. Dan Wile and Collaborative Couple Therapy, The Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered approaches, among others.

I have extensive training in the Gottman Method, Imago therapy, and Collaborative Couple Therapy. I have received over 100 hours of advanced training in divorce mediation and countless hours in collaborative law/coaching.  My training has afforded me fellowship with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (CLII). where I served as co-chair of the Membership Committee, and have served as presenter on their Basic Training Team at Loyola University in Chicago in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.  I've presented for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education (IICLE), with a team of collaboratively trained attorneys and financial specialists on the benefits of collaborative divorce practice. I have also hosted and participated in numerous psycho-educational groups for spouses going through divorce and for parents in minimizing the impact of divorce on children.
